About Camp Massasoit in Mattapoiset, MA

Welcome to Camp Massasoit! Located on the picturesque Mattapoisett Harbor, Camp Massasoit has been offering a first-rate summer camp experience for generations of families since 1962. Our focus is on helping campers develop as individuals and as a team, growing into the leaders of tomorrow. Camp Massasoit offers traditional camp activities like archery, swimming, and sailing, along with our innovative sea kayaking, dramatic arts, and challenge course programs. Our challenge course features a rock wall and zip line, giving our fully qualified staff the chance to bring out the best in everyone. To top it off, our legendary themed days/weeks, zany camp songs, and skits create a camp spirit full of fun and tradition. At Camp Massasoit, campers are able to build new skills and create lasting friendships summer after summer. Come and join us for a summer to remember!

Programs at Camp Massasoit in Mattapoiset, MA

Traditional Camp Aged 5-12

Campers will be divided into age groups and will experience a variety of camp activities, including archery, arts & crafts, sports, field games, nature walks, ropes challenge course and climbing tower with zip line, and swim lessons each day. Our camp will keep them physically active, enhance their social-emotional skills, and challenge them to learn new things every day. Special events will be planned throughout the summer, in addition to weekly themes and specialty days! (Session A-I)

Specialty Camps

CHEER Do you have a spirit? Our cheer camp gives campers the chance to get active and focus on teamwork. Cheerleaders will build self-confidence and self-esteem while learning the fundamentals of cheerleading, including basic motions, jumps, cheers, and chants. This two-week camp will culminate with a performance at the end of the second week. Campers will also participate in traditional outdoor camp activities throughout the week. (Sessions D/E & G/H)

Specialty Camp

FISHING If you have a trusty favorite fishing rod, bring it along and test your luck at Camp Massasoit’s Fishing Camp! Campers will learn the fishing basics and explore the ecology of the Mattapoisett harbor. Campers will also participate in traditional outdoor camp activities throughout the week.
