At Girls Incorporated of Greater Lowell, we strive to help girls become strong, smart and bold. Our innovative programs nurture girls' emotional, intellectual and physical development, teaching them the independence and personal responsibility that they need to succeed in life. Our safe and nurturing environment allows girls to explore new interests, build self-esteem and develop the skills they need to make healthy, informed decisions. We offer after-school, summer and holiday programs for girls aged 5 to 18. With Girls Incorporated of Greater Lowell, girls have the tools and support they need to reach their full potential.

BeAKid
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
The Afterschool Program is available Monday through Friday 2:00p.m.-6:00p.m. when school is in session. Members arrive at our center via contracted transportation, drop-off, or via a school bus. Upon arrival, members sign-in and are offered a healthy snack. They are given informal time to decompress from the school day, work on homework, and socialize with other members and staff in a supervised but unstructured setting. Members are also offered structured programs that allow them to learn to take leadership roles, improve their health and fitness, and further their education. State child care assistance is accepted, and financial aid is available.

SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
Join 10 fun-filled weeks of summer camp with field trips, swimming, and weekly themes. Summer camp provides girls ages 5 to 14 with active, hands-on enrichment activities in a fun and safe environment. Members are divided into groups based on age. Each group is staffed by qualified personnel who work with the members to plan and implement activities that promote cognitive development, artistic expression, social-emotional growth, and physical education. Members hone leadership and critical thinking skills and combat summer learning loss.

OUTREACH
In partnership with local and surrounding schools and organizations, Girls Inc of Greater Lowell offers research-based academic enrichment and support. We work with school leaders and teachers to identify the needs of the students and facilitate programming to meet the identified needs. Students participate in program activities and experiences that expand on and support school day learning leading to: An improved outlook and performance in school Having set persona, educational, and career goals Improved academic/school performance Having education aspirations beyond high school
