BeAKid
Pre-Ballet Program

The Pre-Ballet Program introduces four and five-year-olds to the enchanting world of ballet through barre and floor exercises, across-the-floor dances, stories of ballets and great dancers, classical music, creative and character dancing. All children are encouraged to express their dance potential in a positive, joyous, and happy environment, with praise for each child. All of our syllabus material at the Pre-Ballet level is gentle and encouraging and stresses coordination and musicality.

Ballet Program

The Ballet Program is divided into three separate programs, based on age and competence. Students are trained in a pure classical style, with a dedication to artistry, musicality, and technical proficiency.

Jazz Program

The vibrant Jazz Program at Lexington School of Ballet gives students the best of classical jazz technique while introducing the current wave of new jazz styles. Master classes with guest teachers and workshops offer students the chance to study with world renowned teachers. Jazz classes are offered for students beginning at age eight through adult. New students are asked to audition to ensure appropriate level placement. Students are encouraged to have a firm background in ballet before starting jazz studies.
