About Lexington Debate Institute in Lexington, MA
The Lexington Debate Institute is the brainchild of Lexington High School alumni, who have experienced firsthand the success of their debate team. The team has the impressive accolade of being the only team in the country to win national championships in all three debate formats, and an astounding 45 consecutive state championships. The Institute offers a rigorous program, designed to help students hone their skills in the same way that has been successful in the past. The results speak for themselves – former students of the Institute have gone on to win a number of awards, including the national championships and state championships. The Lexington Debate Institute is a testament to the hard work and talent of the alumni of Lexington High School. With their dedication and passion for the art of debate, they have been able to create an institute that offers students the chance to learn from the best. Thanks to the Institute, students have the opportunity to learn the same skills that have been successful in the past and become successful debaters in their own right.

Programs at Lexington Debate Institute in Lexington, MA
BeAKid
Summer Session
Learn from experienced high school debaters about persuasive speaking, argument construction, effective research, and so much more. The Institute will run from July through the second week of August. Classes are held in two-week blocks, with the option of signing up for either one or two weeks and either a half-day or full-day program. Classes will be held in person at Lexington High School in accordance with COVID guidelines. This session is open to students who are beginning debate as well as students with prior experience who want to advance their skills.

Spring Session
Learn from experienced high school debaters about persuasive speaking, argument construction, effective research, and so much more. This session will run from March to May on Thursday 3:30-5:30 and Tuesday 3:30-5:30. Thursday classes will held in-person at Lexington High School with accordance to COVID guidelines and Tuesday classes will be held on Zoom. This session is open to students who are just beginning debate as well as students with experience who want to advance their skills. Students have the option to attend for just one month, two months, or all three.

Information Sessions
Though we heartily recommend our Institute, we understand the gravity of the decision for how your child spends their time. That's why we'll be hosting multiple information sessions in the coming months, so you and your child have a chance to see what the Institute would be like, and make sure it is the right choice for you. We won't be able to get into the depth of instruction that we'll guarantee over the spring, but hopefully it will help you and your child get an idea of what we aim to achieve by the end of the Institute.
