In 1986, a group of talented artists, community members, and parents in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, came together to form KidsArts. Their goal was to provide a place for children of all backgrounds to learn and experience visual and performing arts. The first home for the program was the Jamaica Plain Firehouse Arts Center. However, in 1994, the program was forced to close due to financial issues, leaving the future of KidsArts uncertain. Fortunately, a group of 30 parents came together to save the program, and, within three weeks, moved it to the First Church JP. KidsArts was then incorporated in 1995 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, allowing it to continue as a community-based after-school arts program. Today, this program is still running strong, providing a safe and creative environment for children to learn and explore the arts.

For over 140 years, Nurtury has been a leader in early childhood education. As pioneers in the field, they have worked tirelessly to shape public education policy and raise standards in the field of education both nationally and in the New England region. Nurtury is dedicated to helping young children reach their full potential. As part of their mission, they work to ensure that the children of Greater Boston are prepared for school and have the healthiest development possible. Every year, they proudly serve over 1,000 young people in the area. As a long-time advocate for high-quality early learning, Nurtury has continued to work hard to make sure that all children have access to quality education. At the Tony Williams Dance Center, we are proud to provide quality dance instruction to a diverse community in the Greater Boston Area. JP Taekwondo strives to provide our students with the most up-to-date information on Taekwondo. Our instructor, Master Inkwon Jang, is a 7th degree black belt and certified instructor from World Taekwondo Headquarters. He graduated valedictorian at Kyunghee University with a degree in Taekwondo and a minor in Education and has a wealth of experience in training, performing, and teaching. To ensure our students are receiving the best instruction, our curriculum is regularly updated with cutting-edge information on Taekwondo. We focus heavily on the fundamentals to ensure our students master the art of Taekwondo. Allowing ample time for beginner and intermediate students to focus on the basics and for their bodies to become capable of performing the skills necessary to master taekwondo.

At the Urban Nutcracker Dance Studio, we offer a variety of classes for dancers of all ages, from 3 to adult. Our mission is to embrace diversity and spread it through dance, and we offer a wide variety of classes in styles like ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. We also have fun summer camps and school year programs, culminating in a grand recital at the end of the year.
