(VOC) to thank for providing their low- and moderate-income neighbors, families and friends with the opportunity to achieve greater independence and a higher quality of life. VOC is devoted to eliminating poverty and has created education and training programs designed to help individuals and families to develop the skills needed to become self-sufficient. BeAKid
Center-Based Child Care
VOC operates five child care centers in Holyoke and Chicopee for children ages 1-5. Our goal is to assist parents who are working, in training leading to employment, or have other special needs. We provide a complete education program, meals, opportunities for parent involvement, and after-school care (at Chicopee locations). All Center-Based classrooms are staffed by qualified Early Education teachers.

Cabot Manor After-School Program
The Cabot Manor After-School Program provides a safe and educational environment for younger Chicopee Housing Authority residents during after-school hours, and runs from September through April. This program offers a wide variety of activities and services related to academic, career, and personal development with a strong focus on project-based, experiential, and social/emotional learning opportunities. The Cabot Manor After-School Program also provides several community-based events and offers week-long “camps” during winter and spring breaks.

Cabot Manor Summer Camp
The Cabot Manor Summer Camp provides a structured, educational and fun environment for low-income, at-risk youth ages 5-13. While at Summer Camp children participate in field trips, educational activities such as science exploration, arts and crafts and literacy projects, and physical activities such as Kung Fu, Zumba, Hip Hop dance classes, daily walks, and swimming.
