For our younger campers, we kick things off with a comprehensive schedule of activities. This includes a balanced blend of age-specific activities that we handpick, and electives that campers and their parents choose prior to the start of camp. As our cherished campers mature, they begin to explore and refine their unique interests and talents. Their schedules gradually transform to be more focused on elective activities. This evolution reflects our dedication to supporting individual growth and development while ensuring our campers are having the time of their lives. Our beloved Berkshire Trails embodies the core values, time-honored traditions, and exhilarating programming of an all-encompassing sleepaway camp, all neatly packaged into a thrilling 3-week program. Lower Camp

Our lower campers follow a well-structured program offering one elective period daily. They travel by bunk to their scheduled activities accompanied by their general counselors. The activities are instructed by our dedicated staff of specialty counselors experienced in those skills. They enjoy a well-rounded program experiencing all the traditional activities and still have the opportunity to try new things like waterskiing, circus arts, and more. Campers are encouraged to sample different activities while improving their skills in more familiar ones.

Middle Camp

Our Middle Camp children have a mix of structure and choice in their days. Middle Campers travel as a bunk and an age group for about half of the day, while the other half of their time is devoted to elective activities they have chosen before camp begins. Instruction in swimming, team sports, tennis, and boating are some required activities for this division. Of course, program directors are available to adjust campers’ schedules as needed.

Upper Camp

Our oldest campers design their schedules, with the help of their parents, before arriving at camp each June. They create their program to fit their individual needs. These campers have developed their interests and skills and need the flexibility to fulfill their goals and wishes. Whether one wants to focus on a specific sport, creative art, performing art, or aquatic pursuit, their schedule will be created with that camper in mind.
