About Cape Ann Art Haven

At Cape Ann Art Haven, they believe that art has the power to bring people together, to nurture creativity, and to serve as a platform for social change. Through their high-quality programs and partnerships, they strive to make art an integral part of life on Cape Ann. At Cape Ann Art Haven, we believe that art is for everyone! That's why we provide high-quality art education and community building to all on Cape Ann, regardless of skill level, background, or income. We offer financial scholarships to those in need and nearly 50% of our programming is available free of charge to low-income families. Similarly, we've formed partnerships and programs to bring art classes out into the community, so that logistical barriers don't prevent anyone from accessing art. We believe that art has the power to bring people together, to nurture creativity, and to serve as a platform for social change. That's why we strive to make art an integral part of life on Cape Ann. We hope that our programs will open up new opportunities and experiences for everyone in the community, regardless of their circumstances.

Fiesta Art Week
Make your own greasy pole & walker, draw your favorite fiesta rides, create a plate of Italian cookies from clay. Visit from a Sicilian to talk about Sicilian heritage. This workshop is for Wednesday thru Friday only.

Pottery
Students will learn hand building techniques as well as experiment with the pottery wheel. Students can expect to bring at least one finished, glazed piece home at the end of the 4 week session. It will probably be necessary for families to return after the last session to get pieces that were in the process of being fired when class ended

Mixed Media
This class will bring various disciplines together - fiber arts and painting, drawing and decoupage, collage and sculpture. Students will learn about the wide range of possibilities in expressing their ideas, and the technical challenges and benefits of mixing mediums.
