About Mass Ballet in Framingham, MA

Welcome to Mass Ballet, the new home of Massachusetts Ballet Theatre! With The Ballet Space having opened its doors in March of 2005, it quickly become the go-to training facility for dancers of all ages, from 2 to adult. At Mass Ballet, we are passionate about continuing the mission of The Ballet Space and “teaching the art and joy of dance.” We believe that every student should be able to enjoy the pleasures of dance, while receiving top-notch training. Whether you are looking to dance professionally or just for fun, our experienced faculty and varied programs are here to meet your needs. Mass Ballet is proud to be the successor of The Ballet Space. We strive to uphold the highest standards of excellence in ballet, while nurturing the joy within each dancer. Our faculty and programs are designed to fit the needs of every student, from the professional to the recreational. Programs at Mass Ballet in Framingham, MA

BeAKid
FIRST STEPS: AGES 3-5 (PRE-KINDERGARTEN)

At Mass Ballet we take what comes naturally to little ones and combine it with the study of creative movement and ballet to help children develop a love of dance that can stay with them for a lifetime.

JUNIOR DIVISION: BALLET 2-5

This program builds in intensity with kind and experienced instruction. Children learn age appropriate exercises while still getting opportunities to explore movement and imagination. The learning environment has a good balance of structure and fun, while offering an excellent foundation for more advanced training for those who continue to dance. Children gain coordination, flexibility, muscle strength, and active listening skills along with a significant amount of ballet/dance vocabulary. Dancers in this program may also enroll in Modern, Jazz and/or Tap. Dancers are eligible to audition for our Nutcracker, and all are dancers cast in our Spring Story Ballet.

Senior and Pre-Professional Program

At Mass Ballet, dancers age 12 and up can choose a level of training that suits their goals, from those pursuing a dance career or high-level college dancing, to those who take a few dance classes alongside other activities.
