Community Kiln, located at 46 Park St in Framingham, is the ceramics studio of Brick Stack Arts Center. This delightful studio offers classes and workshops for those who are just beginning their journey with ceramics, as well as those who are more advanced. With a mission to provide a venue for arts and culture to thrive and a forum for the enhancement of our community, Community Kiln is a place of joy and creativity where students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds can come together to learn, express, and appreciate the beauty and power of ceramic arts.
Teens will learn the process of wheelthrowing including centering, opening, pulling, and forming shapes such as bowls, vases and mugs. Advanced students coming into this class can work with the instructor to create projects to fit their skill level and challenge themselves. Works are decorated with underglaze and fired. Tuition includes clay, underglazes and firing. Class meets for 8 weeks. Ages 12 to 18.
