About Breaking Pointe Dance Studio

At Breaking Pointe, our mission is to provide young dancers with a professional dance program that teaches coordination, flexibility, creativity, and dance technique. We also strive to give our students the opportunity to develop a positive self-esteem, discipline, body awareness, and social skills. Our philosophy is to teach our students all types of dancing, theater etiquette, stage presence, and a sense of inner beauty. Our facility is the perfect place for your child to learn, grow, and explore the world of dance.

Combination Classes

Combination classes are a great way for students to experience different types of dance in a thirty minute, forty-five minute, one-hour, one-hour fifteen minute or one-hour thirty minute instructional time. Classes are available for students 18 months -age 10. The main focus of our combination classes is for students to have fun and enjoy dance as an everyday activity. Class placement is based on age as well as a student's ability to learn.

Intermediate - Adult Classes

Beginning at age ten, students are placed in Level 1 and advance according to age, experience, and ability. BPDS designed a method following a structured sequence of training stages intended to increase student’s technical skills, stamina and discipline in accordance with their age and physical development. BPDS encourages dancers of all levels to reach their maximum potential. Instructors are highly experienced in their art and generous with their knowledge and encouragement in class.

Competition Company

BPDS Competition Company classes are available for students starting at age seven & up. These classes were developed for the more serious dancer seeking a progressive curriculum. Auditions are required. During their time here, students will take classes in ballet, contemporary, acro, tap, jazz as well as vital conditioning classes.
