About Valley Women’s Martial Arts Easthampton in Easthampton, MA

Heron's Bridge/Valley Women's Martial Arts has been a non-profit, collaboratively led, member oriented school and community center since 1977, offering multi-disciplinary arts education based in feminist social justice activism. Founded with the goal of encouraging transformation, accessibility, and inclusion, their mission is to provide instruction in martial arts, movement meditation, empowerment skills, self-protection and self-care strategies, healing and peace-building methods, interpretive dance, poetry, and more. HB/VWMA welcomes participants of any gender, physical/mental ability, race, creed, ethnicity, socio-economic background, sexual orientation, and body size. Program fees are on a sliding scale basis, ensuring that no one is excluded from taking part in these important programs. At Heron's Bridge/Valley Women's Martial Arts, everyone can participate in their innovative and empowering programs. They make sure to provide a welcoming atmosphere for people of all abilities and backgrounds, and strive to make their classes and workshops open to as many people as possible.
