Father Antonio Sousa's efforts to respond to the plight of the orphans of the North End had finally come to fruition. The Home for Italian Children in Massachusetts served as a refuge for over 200 children who were provided with a safe and nurturing environment to grow and thrive. This remarkable home continues to serve Massachusetts’ Italian-American community to this day, with the mission of providing a safe and nurturing environment for those most in need.

At WAMH, we strive to create a learning environment where children can reach their full potential. Our curriculum is designed to be developmentally appropriate and encourages children to explore their own interests. We recognize that each child is unique and has their own strengths and weaknesses, so our instructors create an individualized learning plan for each child. We take the social and emotional development of our students seriously and strive to ensure that each child feels safe, respected, and confident. We provide activities that promote cooperation and teamwork, and we ensure that our students are exposed to a variety of cultures, allowing them to gain a greater understanding, respect, and appreciation.

Fallbrook Child Development Center has been serving our community since 1975. We help provide daycare and early childhood education for up to 48 children from low-income families whose parents are either working or in school. Our team of dedicated volunteers and staff have helped over 500 children reach their full potential. We are proud of the work we do and how our graduates have gone on to make a positive impact in the world. One of our graduates recently wrote, “Nineteen years ago I was a student here. The Child Development Center changed my life, I'm sure for the better. I am sure I wouldn't be the person I am if this place and these people that care did not exist.” Through the generous support of our donors, we are able to provide quality early childhood education and daycare for our students. We look forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of the children we serve for many years to come.
