    About Creative Minds 2 in Dracut, MA

    At Creative Minds Early Learning Center, Maura Sheehy Costello and Erica Jussaume have been providing parents with quality care for more than 20 years. They opened the first program in January 1999 on Lakeview Avenue in Dracut, Massachusetts with the goal of providing a safe and nurturing environment for children from infancy to preschool. The school’s popularity quickly grew, and the two founders opened their second program in Dracut for children from infant to school age. In 2010, Creative Minds of Tyngsboro opened on Westford Road for full and part-time preschool. In 2015, a fourth location opened on Nashua Road in Dracut, with programs for preschool and school age children. Today, Creative Minds Early Learning Center has four locations throughout Dracut and Tyngsboro, and offers quality care for children from infancy to age 14. Maura Sheehy Costello and Erica Jussaume prioritize a safe and nurturing environment for all of their students, and are proud to have been serving the community for more than two decades.

    Programs at Creative Minds 2 in Dracut, MA

    Preschool

    Our Preschool classroom is for children who are two or more years away from kindergarten. In the preschool, we work on social skills, like turn taking and sharing. We start to create lasting friendships as we practice these skills. We work on colors and shapes. We work on our fine motor skills by cutting, gluing, and painting. We get an introduction to the ABC’s and recognizing and writing our names.

    Pre-Kindergarten

    In the Pre-K, we work on the letters, both recognizing them and writing them. We start to learn what sounds they make and string sounds together to create words. We use a choice driven, play based curriculum. We offer lots of choices and opportunities for exploration.

    School Age Program

    Our school age program offers before and after school care for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. We open for full days during school vacations, summers, and snow days. The classroom has many stations, including an art area, a computer center, a sports and games area with a foosball table, a dramatic play center, a block area, and more. During summers, we do lots of activities and go on many field trips to fun and exciting places.
