About Motion Dance Studio

We welcome dancers of all experience levels, ages 2 to 18, to join us in our variety of classes. At MTDS, we offer a comprehensive dance education, as well as quality fitness instruction. Our passionate and professional staff provide an encouraging environment for each and every student. With 75% of our dance families having been part of the MTDS community for more than 5 years, we invite you to join in on the fun. We are committed to creating an atmosphere of excellence that will not only encourage our students to reach their goals in dance, but also teach them life skills to help them in the future. So come along and take part in the MTDS experience!

ACRO
Beginner - Intermediate A spirited class for students who dream of cartwheels and handstands. Students develop listening skills and basic motor skills while building strength and coordination through the basics of acrobats. Classes are held on mats for safety. Mini trampolines and inclined motor skill props may also be used.

BALLET
Beginner - Competitive Develop a solid foundation of the fundamental techniques that span across all dance styles. Students practice traditional classical ballet barre sequences, positions, and alignments and move fluidly across the floor. All students are encouraged to take ballet to learn basic terms, polish skills, and develop body awareness to prevent injury.

TAP
Beginner - Competitve Explore a fresh side of dance through percussion and rhythm. Students practice precision in footwork, learn the distinctions of sounds, and develop a sense of teamwork as the class practices to sound as one.

MINI MOVERS
Toddler - Introductory A fun-filled toddler dance class that develops listening and learning skills through the use of music & movement. The target age for this class is 2.5-4. (This class does not participate in the recital.)
