Since 1972, the Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp has been providing a safe and enriching experience for campers of all ages. Our mission is to create a high quality summer camp environment where campers are supported and challenged through a diverse range of enjoyable programs. Our uniquely designed camp schedules include special events and trips that help camp members build self esteem and friendships. We are committed to creating a diverse and welcoming community and comply with all state and local regulations. Our focus remains strong on providing campers with opportunities to grow and learn in a safe and supportive environment.

Micro-STEAM

Entering Kindergarten through Grade 2. Micro-STEAM campers will take flight into a week filled with innovation, collaboration, and experimentation while exploring THINGS THAT FLY! Kicking off the week, campers will become naturalists as they explore bees and birds featuring a special guest from Mass Audubon’s Boston Nature Center. Campers will then become NASA aerospace engineers and aviation engineers learning about space shuttles and airplanes. The campers will gain a new understanding and curiosity about things that fly high in the sky!

STEAM Camp

Entering grades 3 through 6. Design, build, program, and experiment! CHS STEAM Camp was developed with the goal of hands-on engagement of children in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and math. Last summer’s theme was birds! Camper's investigated how birds live, travel, survive, and adapt to their environments. Campers used a variety of materials and activities to develop student’s skills for the 21st century - creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication. Daily Swimming option is also provided.

Counselor in Training Program

Entering grades 9 and 10. CITs are important members of our team. Once approved, CIT’s will be placed in one of our three divisions/age groups, and will receive pre-camp training in June, and ongoing support during their time with us. CITs will apply learned teaching & communication strategies, and be expected to engage and collaborate with both staff and campers. In addition, weekly meetings provide CITs with individual support and goal setting opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to teach a brief lesson during their camp session and be provided with feedback by experienced staff and/or directors.
