Beaver Summer Camp has been a part of the Chestnut Hill community for 80 years. Located in a safe and nurturing environment, this camp is designed for children ages 3-15. BeAKid
LOWER CAMP
Lower Camp gives young kids the opportunity to dip their little toe in the water, so to speak. It’s a nurturing, age-appropriate way to introduce them to everything that the camp experience has to offer. We’ve included all the exciting activities that your child wants (and lots of them) with the structured, daily schedule he or she needs (no meltdowns on our watch). Your child will play, learn and make friends in small groups of kids who are the same age. Each group is led by three of our experienced, engaging and caring counselors known for their gentle skill in priming kids for their life-long love of camp.

MIDDLE CAMP
More activities plus greater choice equals ginormous fun. With over 25 different activities, your first or second grader will dive into our Middle Camp whole-heartedly. This full day program is a perfect blend of structure and flexibility, giving your child the “grownup” thrill of choosing his or her activities between two, “are-you-sure-I-can’t-do-both-at-the-same-time?” options. One thing your child will find equally thrilling—talking about it non-stop will be your first clue—is meeting new friends. We purposely keep our counselor-to-camper ratio small at 1:7, to help foster a close-knit community where social skills are developed and everyone feels included.

UPPER CAMP
One thing is for sure: Your child definitely has an emerging personality all his or her own. And, at Upper Camp, we do everything we can to make it shine. That’s why we continue to offer third and fourth graders the camaraderie and support found in a group setting, while also giving them more of the individualized choices that spark their curiosity. In the morning, your child will choose from three activities per period and participate in them with kids his or her own age. As afternoon rolls around, your son or daughter can pick from three different activities to focus on during the week. These “electives” give your child extra time to complete an art project, master a martial art move and become confident in a whole range of new and exciting skills.
