About Burlington Hockey and Skating Association in Burlington, MA

Welcome to Burlington Skating, the Learn-to-Skate and Figure Skating arm of the Burlington Hockey & Skating Association. We offer a US Figure Skating-approved Learn-to-Skate program, open to skaters from Burlington and all neighboring towns, including Woburn, Winchester, Arlington, Lexington, Bedford, and Billerica. Our lessons take place at the Burlington Ice Palace, and we are proud to offer a variety of recreational and competitive skating programs. Programs at Burlington Hockey and Skating Association in Burlington, MA

BeAKid
Junior Devil program

BHSA’s Junior Devil program is an introduction to the sport of ice hockey. Led by professional hockey instructors from the Tier1 Hockey School, children will be taught basic hockey skills. The program aims to provide a fun environment for all participants to learn the basics of the game. Players will have 50 minutes of on-ice interaction on Saturdays and Sundays from September through March. Typically, these both start as skill-based instruction, and, eventually as players are acclimated, they will be split into teams for mini scrimmages on Sundays.

Age and Skating Level

We strongly recommend that children be at least 4 years old to sign up for skating lessons. All new skaters will start in the first level, Snowplow Sam 1. Learn more about the structure of our lessons and the USFSA Learn-to-Skate levels on our Lessons page.
