The Bedford Soccer Association is committed to supporting the Bedford Recreation Department in the planning, organization and implementation of both intramural and travel soccer programs. Members serve two-year terms and are typically in service for a total of six years. In order to continue serving beyond the six-year period, they must have a child currently enrolled in the program. All members of the association must be approved by the Bedford Recreation Commission. The Bedford Soccer Association is proud to provide assistance to the Bedford Recreation Department in ensuring that the youth of the community have access to enjoyable and rewarding soccer experiences. Volunteers are essential in making this possible and the association values the commitment of members who serve two-year terms and often remain in service for up to six years. If a member wishes to stay on after this period, they must have a child enrolled in the soccer program. All members of the association must be approved by the Bedford Recreation Commission. Youth soccer at the youngest ages concentrates primarily on fun. If a child is enjoying his soccer activities, he or she will keep coming back for years and constantly improve along the way. We strive to develop skills in an age appropriate manner that matches natural child development. The intramural soccer program runs for grades K through 8. Intramural teams play in Bedford only, against other Bedford teams. The program represents a lighter commitment than travel soccer with practices/scrimmages on Saturday mornings only.
