Allison C11/16/20225I've been taking piano lessons at BMS for more than a year. Even though I am an adult student, the school made me feel just as welcome as the younger students who appear to make up a sizable portion of the student body. After 12 years of not playing and taking lessons, I was looking to pick up the piano again. As a child, I played for about 10 years.
Princess R11/16/20224The actual facility is a historic Brookline home. Although some of the rooms might be a little small, I believe the building is ideal for its intended use. There are plenty of available spaces for lessons, and it has never been a problem for me to prepare in another room before my lesson.
Claire F11/16/20225fantastic institution of learning I used to take piano lessons there when I was younger, and I'm back now as an adult. High caliber teachers and friendly administration.
Randy T11/16/20225In general, teachers are excellent with kids, kind, and highly competent. The violinists Tomoko Iwamoto and Konstantin Arakelov, the flute player Julianne Johnston, and the dance instructor Tom deserve special mention for their outstanding performances. The school as a whole still has a welcoming sense of community.
