She has been a part of the adaptive swimming program at the SSYMCA Quincy branch and has also provided private in-home swimming lessons to families in the South Shore area over the past six summers. South Shore Sunfish, founded by Marykate Gawron, is a client-centered, at-home private swim and adaptive swim program that believes swimming should be accessible to all children. Marykate is an expert in her field and brings her years of experience and knowledge from her roles as an outpatient pediatric occupational therapist, a faculty mentor at Tufts University, and a private swim instructor to her program. With South Shore Sunfish, children of all ages and abilities can learn to swim in the safety and comfort of their own home.
