About Braintree After School Enrichment in Braintree, MA

The Braintree After School Enrichment program was founded in August 1985 by Roselyn Karll with the mission of providing non-profit 501 (c) (3) care and enrichment for children aged 2.9 to 12. We understand the need for quality, year-round care and enrichment for your little ones and are here to help provide that! Our program provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to explore their interests and develop their skills. We offer a variety of activities to fit your family’s needs. Our after school enrichment program includes science, art, music, cooking, sports, and much more. We also offer a variety of summer camp programs for kids ages 2.9 to 12. From day trips to overnight camping, our summer camps are designed to provide your children with a fun and educational experience. At Braintree After School Enrichment, we strive to provide your children with the best possible care and enrichment. Our team of experienced and caring professionals is here to help your children grow and develop in a safe and nurturing environment. Before & After School Program

Grades K-6 B.A.S.E.’s after school program for grades K – 3 is located at the main facility on 426 Pond Street. The program hosts grades 4-6 at our Hollis Elementary location, 482 Washington Street (in the back). We are open daily, Monday - Friday, from 7:00am - 8:45am for before school at each elementary school and 2:30pm to 6:00 pm for after school. Parents can choose from 2,3,4, or 5 day enrollment for after school. We are also open during school vacations and some holidays. The after school program provides children a safe, high quality and enjoyable setting to build friendships, play games and sports, work on homework, and engage in a variety of creative projects and enriching activities. We help your child grow according to their own developmental needs. We do activities you wouldn't do at home! Our program employs highly qualified teachers from diverse backgrounds and experiences. All staff have degrees in Early Childhood Education or a related field or are working toward their degree. Many of our teachers are state certified teachers with their Masters degrees. All of our teachers are certified in First Aid and CPR. They are all CORI and SORI checked and fingerprinted. They are talented and creative and truly enjoy working with children.

Preschool

B.A.S.E. Preschool is designed to provide children requiring full day/full year care, a balance of child-directed, enriching play with teacher-directed, small group lessons within a structured and routine environment. Children must be 2.9 years old in September to attend. Operational hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school year, which runs from September to August. B.A.S.E. offers a 5 day, full-day schedule. Hourly rates are not available.

Summer Camp

The B.A.S.E. camp is licensed by the Braintree Board of Health and the Department of Early Education and Care. The program operates from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM during the summer for children ages 6 years old (having completed a year of Kindergarten)-12 years old. During non-COVID summers, our summer program activities include Arts & Crafts, Sports, Drama, and MANY field trips. Our weekly (normal) session tuition includes the admission to places such as: Davis Farmland, Whale Watch, Water Wizz, Brockton Rox, Fenway Park Tour, Southwick Zoo, Canobie Lake Park & much much more! Our summer registration forms are located under the forms tab.

Private Kindergarten

Our Private Kindergarten program was made to accommodate families who would need full school day education and after school care. The Private Kindergarten is a school year program and follows the Braintree Public School Calendar. Highlights of the program: - Our kindergarten teacher is a long time B.A.S.E. teacher with a degree in early childhood education and years of experience in the Braintree public school system. -16 maximum enrollment with a 1:10 teacher/student ratio. - A full academic curriculum based on the MA Department of Education standards. - Social-Emotional lessons built into the curriculum. - Spacious classroom with on-site bathroom and sink, natural lighting, operable windows and HVAC system - Weekly art and gym specials. - Indoor gymnasium. - Large, fenced-in recess area accessible directly from the classroom. MUST be 5 years of age by August 31st.
