At Camp Wakonda, we provide an outdoor setting that allows campers of all ages to unplug from the everyday hustle and bustle and experience the beauty of nature. Campers are provided with plenty of opportunities to explore, create, and discover their own independence. Campers are encouraged to take risks, try new activities, and learn from their mistakes. Whether it’s sailing, horseback riding, archery, swimming, or other activities, campers are sure to have the best experience of their year. Camp Wakonda is dedicated to promoting the YMCA mission. We strive to put Christian principles into practice by teaching campers the values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. This allows campers to gain new life skills, build lasting friendships, and grow in self-esteem and confidence. Our goal is to provide campers of all ages with an unforgettable experience that will stay with them long after their time at camp is over.
