About Shodokan Martial Arts Center in Beverly, MA

At Shodokan, we make sure each of our arts have dedicated instructors so our members can 'cross train' and focus on one art while learning from all of them. We don't require members to specialize in any one art and instead encourage them to explore and learn from our variety of offerings. Our Dojo is a relaxed, welcoming place to learn, but we also hold our members to high standards of respect and discipline as we strive to help them reach their full potential.

KARATE

Shotokan "Karate- do," which translates loosely to "the way of the empty hand," focuses on self-improvement, rather than competition..... both in and out of the dojo. The CASC practice basics (kihon) and forms (kata) with the feeling of "shoshin," or "beginners mind." Shotokan karate training should not start/ stop at the dojo door but extend into all aspects of ones life.
