About North Shore Karate Academy in Beverly, MA
. We are proud to offer our students a unique training experience with our custom-built dojo, inspired by the Okinawan castles. Sensei Spoon has spent time on Okinawa, and brings that knowledge and understanding to the dojo. We understand the importance of finding the right fit when it comes to martial arts training. NSKA provides a wide variety of classes and programs for both children and adults. Each student is guided by a master instructor, and is encouraged to reach their goals through personalised training plans. Our custom-designed dojo is inspired by Okinawan castles and Sensei Spoon’s time on Okinawa, allowing each student to have a one-of-a-kind training experience.

BeAKid
Tiny Tigers
Our pre-school program focuses on improving your child’s basic motor and listening skills. These skills will help them enter society with more confidence, become better students at school, and better listeners at home. We believe that these are crucial years of a child’s development! Our Tiny Tigers program enhances positive development in a fun and motivating environment. This program will also prepare children for more advanced martial arts classes. In Tiny Tigers classes children will be exposed to positive social interactions, basic karate skills, and learn to follow directions from our instructors who are excellent role models and are trained specifically to work with pre-school children.

Karate Kids
The karate kids program at North Shore Karate Academy utilizes a detailed, age-appropriate curriculum that has been refined over the past twenty years. It is designed to help shape your child into a LEADER and accentuate the traits that bring out the best in their own personality.

Adults
Adults enjoy studying the martial arts because it is both interesting and motivating. Men and women take pleasure in the opportunity of getting and staying in shape, becoming stronger, more flexible and much more confident in their ability to defend themselves if the need should ever arise.
