About Montserrat College of Art

With an Art Education minor, students at Montserrat are well-prepared for a variety of jobs in the art-related field. These may include working in private schools, community arts programs, after-school programs, and art-related camps, as well as for graduate programs in education or corporate/educational training jobs. With the knowledge and experience gained through the Art Education program, our students are equipped with the skills necessary to excel in their chosen profession.

YOUTH S.T.E.A.M. Arts academy
This program is fun and challenging for students ages 8-11 (Minors) and our older group ages 12-15 (Majors). Daily classes will allow students to experience exciting creative endeavors while being introduced to a variety of techniques and skills.

3D PRINTING WITH A PURPOSE
will enter the creative space of 3D printing from learning TINKERCAD, intro to software, history development, and more!

ACTING FOR THE STAGE
Learn the art of Narrative Pantomime, how to take stage direction, how to develop character, projection, stage presence, and techniques for memorizing lines. The session will culminate in a performance for friends and family.

ADVENTURES IN DRAWING & PAINTING
Explore the principles of drawing and painting from observation and imagination. Learn value, gesture, contour lines, color and composition using a range of materials.
