About Callahans Karate Studio

Our comprehensive training curriculum includes modern martial arts and self-defense, with an emphasis on personal fitness, physical empowerment, and positive character development. Our 10,000-square-foot center in the heart of Bedford provides an inviting and family-friendly atmosphere where students can learn and grow. Our teachers are highly trained professionals, led by Richard and Winnie Callahan. Their guidance and leadership create an environment where all students are supported and encouraged to reach their goals. We believe that every student can achieve success with our comprehensive curriculum and positive atmosphere. We are proud to provide a safe place for students to reach their full potential and become their best selves.

KARATE CLASSES FOR KINDERGARTNERS
Our Little Dragons program is designed for children in kindergarten. Our age-appropriate classes develop fundamental listening skills, focus, and fine and gross motor skills. This program also begins to lay the foundation for kids to learn important life skills around self-discipline, respect, and positive relationships.

KARATE CLASSES FOR FIRST GRADERS AND ABOVE
Our Juniors program is designed for first-graders and above, starting at the white belt (beginner) level all the way up through the junior black belt. We have a well-rounded, high-energy curriculum focused on physical fitness, practical self-defense skills, and other aspects of age-appropriate martial arts training. We also focus on building important life skills kids can use outside of karate such as confidence, self-discipline, and integrity all in a positive and encouraging environment. We integrate topics into our classes such as kindness and respect while helping children build healthy relationships and manage conflicts and bullying.

KARATE FOR TEENAGERS
Our Teen program is geared towards helping teens de-stress, develop life skills such as confidence and self control and work towards making the best judgments they can during an influential stage of their lives. Classes are fun but challenging, focusing on physical fitness and practical self defense skills, as well as balance and coordination. We strive for a positive learning environment, encouraging acceptance, respect and friendship amongst students.
