About Adventures in Learning

With over 30 years of teaching experience and a Masters in Science in Early Childhood Education, I am an expert in my field. I have specialized in Special Education and am certified by the Massachusetts Department of Education and Early Education and Care (K-3 and Infants-Preschool/Director II). I am passionate about creating an educational environment that celebrates and nurtures the whole child, and I strive to create a space where children of all abilities are encouraged to take risks and explore. My approach to early childhood education is based on providing organic learning experiences that help foster a love of learning. I blend traditional educational opportunities with nature and farm-based activities to ensure that children are growing in all areas. My respect for each learner and my inclusive teaching style has allowed me to make a difference in the lives of countless children over the past 30 years.

AFTER SCHOOL ON THE FARM
After School on the Farm gives children the space to release their energy in a supportive community setting after a busy day of learning. The program also provides an opportunity to work on assignments, with guidance as needed. As with all our Barnyard Adventures programs, we aim to support our farm friends’ socioemotional needs, as well as their academics.

LITTLE FARMERS SCHOOL
Little Farmers School is a preschool program for children three to six years of age. Children are exposed to areas of Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math (STREAM) naturally through outdoor exploration and play. The program provides a non-competitive environment to support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth through exploration, play, and hands-on learning.

TINY FARMERS PLAYGROUP
The Tiny Farmers Playgroup contributes to a foundation of organic socialization and community building. Children under the age of five, along with their grownup(s) and older sibling(s), follow their curiosity to explore the natural world around them in this 45-minute playgroup.
