BeAKid
Preschool & Kindergarten
Here, daily activities establish the foundation for all future learning and give your children as early as 2 years old the opportunity to safely explore the world around them. Art, music, drama and gross-motor skills activities allow children to discover their innate abilities to feel, act, question, reflect and imagine. Speaking, reading and writing words and numbers in both French and English, and collaborating with classmates from around the globe, introduce your children to different cultures and put them ahead of peers at other schools. ISB’s English- and French-speaking teachers work with students, often together, to enhance the bilingual experience.

Lower School
Lower School is one of the most exciting and foundational periods in our young students’ lives. It is when we celebrate and explore their natural curiosity and acceptance of new ideas as we build a solid foundation of skills through our interdisciplinary, bilingual approach to learning. Lower School includes grades 1 through 5, or CP through CM2 in the French educational system. Led by passionate and engaged teachers, Lower School’s dual-language curriculum incorporates reading and writing, mathematics, sciences, social studies, the arts, information technology and physical education.

Middle School
Building on the Lower School foundation, the Middle School program encourages students to develop creative problem-solving skills and independent thinking, and helps students navigate the challenges of early adolescence and prepare to transition to high school. Middle School includes grades 6 through 8, and all academic classes are taught in French and English. Students have the opportunity to select a schedule that more heavily emphasizes either the French or English language, depending on their academic interests and future plans.
