About Great Expectations Preschool

At Great Expectations Preschool, we believe in experiential learning. We create a safe, welcoming environment for our students to explore, discover and become engaged in their own development. Our curriculum is designed to foster a love of learning and provide meaningful opportunities for each child to find their place in the world. Our teachers recognize and celebrate each child's individual strengths and interests. We strive to help our students develop empathy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Great Expectations Preschool has been a part of the Arlington community since 1989. We are proud to have served families for over three decades, helping children become confident, well-rounded individuals. Our commitment to providing a quality educational experience in a supportive environment has been the cornerstone of our school's success. SUMMER PROGRAM
Experienced early childhood professionals provide a nurturing, exploratory summertime environment where children are encouraged to create, wonder and discover. The daily schedule includes both indoor and outdoor play, art, music, drama, cooking, science, games and literature. The use of open ended, natural materials such as water, sand, clay, wood, mud, stones, and shells is incorporated throughout the curriculum.

Morning Program
Our school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. We offer a choice of 2, 3, 4 or 5-day programs for both Beginners and Preschoolers. Our flexible scheduling allows parents to choose the days that work best for them.

Enrichment Programs
Enrichment programs are scheduled regularly throughout the year. These programs include drama productions, animal demonstrations, puppet shows, science programs, community helpers, and musical performances. Additionally, weekly enrichment programs led by specialists are built into our curriculum. The day of the week is varied so that all children have the opportunity to participate.
