At SHED Children’s Campus, nature based learning is more than just a part of our curriculum—it’s a way of life. We believe that children should have the opportunity to explore the natural world around them and learn from it. Every season offers unique learning opportunities for your child, from observing the changing of the leaves in the fall to venturing through a snow-covered forest in the winter. BeAKid
Toddler Program

Our toddler program will develop a sense of belonging and build a community. The program will be rich in language and sensory experiences; with planned provocations to suit each child’s level but offer the opportunity to develop at their own pace. Play will be the foundation of the day, allowing for self-directed play. Our pillars will be woven in, focused on mindfulness, nature/outdoors, and Reggio Emilia principles. Incorporated into the day will be a morning/afternoon snack, lunch, rest time, outdoor play, sensory play, and group times.

Springboard to Kindergarten

Springboard to Kindergarten gives your child the time and activities to help expand his or her curiosity, knowledge, and ability to get along with others. Our educators use intentional curriculum planning to give your child individual attention. Your child’s activities and learning are based on what he or she finds interesting, stimulating, puzzling and challenging.

Forest Kindergarten

Forest-K is a model that prioritizes social and emotional development, compassion, empathy, and collaboration in an outdoor setting. Using the surrounding forest and community space of the SHED Children’s Campus, the children will be given the time and space to actively explore, engage, and learn in nature.
