We also provide a nature-based and play-based curriculum to help nurture the whole child. Our staff are passionate about providing eco-friendly childcare, so we have incorporated sustainable practices into our program. We make sure that our children are learning about the importance of protecting our environment and taking care of the planet. We take the time to teach the children about the environment, from composting to reducing, reusing and recycling. We also make sure to use environmentally friendly materials and products in our classrooms. We understand that the early years are the most important in a child’s development and that’s why we strive to provide the highest quality childcare and preschool experience. Our Preschool Program

With over 12 years serving our Tri-Town of Rochester, Marion, Mattapoisett and beyond with an amazing nature based Preschool program with a focus on unstructured free play in nature, and Montessori-inspired teachings in the classroom. Our goal is to encourage exploration, learning, and wonder by providing opportunities for creativity, cooperation, imaginative play, physical strength development, mental strength development, and love of the outdoors within our natural world. It is our belief that organic learning through nature’s classroom creates happier, healthier, smarter, inspired, earth-minded children.

Kindergarten Homeschool Program

AHHS Kindergarten program is a Montessori-inspired, play based kindergarten alternative. This nature based, play based school curriculum is a 3 hour a day program that will satisfy many of the MA state requirements for homeschoolers in lower elementary grades. Accepted students will need to register as homeschoolers in their home town and be sure to understand the requirements as set forth by the state of Massachusetts. This Homeschooling program is for any child who is ages 5 - 6 years old and is either homeschooled or whose family is just not ready to have them enter a traditional kindergarten yet.
