About Backstage Dance Academy in New Bedford, MA
BackStage Dance Academy has been providing the Massachusetts area with quality dance and gymnastics education since August of 2000. We offer classes for children ages 2 and up, as well as adults, in a welcoming and inspiring environment. Our instructors make sure all participants have fun while learning the basics of dance and gymnastics. BackStage Dance Academy also has a competitive dance team for those interested in taking their dancing skills to the next level. Our team is made up of dancers from all skill levels, and is a great way to take part in the performance aspect of dance and gymnastics. Ballet Dance Program
Ballet Helps Your Child Mature! Ballet dancers develop muscle strength, flexibility and mobility enabling them to execute difficult movements with apparent ease. Ballet improves posture and balance which contribute to a leaner, more graceful and elegant appearance.

Jazz Dance Program
Class consists of warm-up, stretch, technique, movement across the floor and choreography in many different styles, such as lyrical jazz, funky or broadway.
