About Park Ridge Park District
Park Ridge was officially incorporated in 1910, but the city was quickly recognized for its health-restoring qualities. With that in mind, the Park Ridge Park District was founded in 1914, and has been an integral part of the community for the past 100 years. To celebrate this milestone, the Park District took the opportunity to reflect on the generations of recreation and leisure opportunities it has provided the city.
In 1910, Park Ridge was recognized as a place that could restore health and vigor. To honor this concept, the Park District was established in 1914, and has been a cornerstone of Park Ridge ever since. In 2014, the Park District celebrated its 100th Anniversary, taking a moment to remember the countless hours of fun and leisure it has given the community over the years.
