For 25 years, Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School’s BRAVO program has been providing students with the opportunity to experience the powerful transformation of performing arts. BRAVO has become the largest extracurricular program, with over 30% of the student body participating. They use the arts to help foster imagination, empathy, and inclusivity, while promoting courage, community, and diversity. 

The BRAVO staff and Advisory Board are dedicated to providing quality, diverse, and equitable programming for all students. The program's initiatives and objectives focus on the performing arts, providing students with skills like motivation, time management, organization, and self-esteem. Additionally, BRAVO encourages parent and community involvement, allowing them to help guide students in achieving success.

Junior BRAVO! is an amazing opportunity for any 2nd through 5th grader to become involved in the Performing Arts. Students who participate in this one-day workshop are taught by professional actors and BRAVO! students, plus get to perform a final show of excerpts from three spectacular productions!

Come participate in Dance Studio and learn all the fundamentals of dance! Students will learn dance technique as well as work on putting a dance routine together throughout the session.
