At Therapy Yoga Gymnastics Rocks, therapy sessions are far from traditional. Children get to play, learn, and grow through the use of gymnastics equipment and yoga activities. The gymnastics portion of the session focuses on gross motor movement, coordination, and fitness. Yoga activities promote regulation, body awareness, and centering. With this unique approach, children learn through fun and exciting activities, rather than through laborious work. 

This results in not only physical benefits, but cognitive and social benefits as well. TYGR certified therapists create individualized sessions for each child to promote growth and independence. With each session, children see tangible evidence that they are getting stronger and more confident. This builds a sense of accomplishment and pride that carries over into all parts of their lives. Pediatric Physical Therapy services at TYGR are designed to promote strong gross motor, coordination, and balance skills while addressing neurological and orthopedic issues of the children. TYGR Physical Therapists work with children and their families on walking, running, jumping, climbing, balancing, and the functional implications for stairs, riding a bike, swimming, playing at the park, and school and community safety.  Physical Therapy helps children with physical, developmental, neurological disabilities, musculoskeletal problems or cardiopulmonary diagnoses.  TYGR Physical Therapists use gymnastic activities and equipment to improve the movement and physical skills that impact the child’s function and improves their ability to climb stairs, ride a bike, swim, play a sport, play at the park, gym at school, and community safety.



Pediatric Physical Therapy

Through the use of gymnastics, TYGR enhances a child’s everyday functioning and skills. Therapeutic Gymnastics introduces children to recreational gymnastics skills, while also gaining valuable therapeutic physical, social, and cognitive skills. Licensed TYGR therapists create fun and exciting therapy sessions and facilitate sensory play through parallel bars, obstacle courses, trampolines, balance beams, rings, tumbling tracks, foam pits, and trapeze bars.

Gymnastics & Therapy

Pediatric Occupational Therapy services at TYGR are designed to treat physical and psychological impairments from neurological, muscular, and/or psychosocial disorders or disabilities. Therapists work with children through purposeful activities to improve and develop skills needed for everyday independence and quality of life. Both children with and without disabilities can use therapy to gain confidence and build skills needed for demands of their school work, self care and life skill tasks as well as leisure and recreational pursuits. Occupational Therapy is beneficial when there are concerns regarding fine motor, sensory, visual motor, and/or motor planning. TYGR Occupational Therapists use gymnastic activities and equipment to enhance the child’s fine motor skills, sensory experiences, motor planning, visual system, upper body strength, regulation, processing and cognition while building self-confidence, life skills, and social skills.

Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Through the use of yoga, TYGR enhances a child’s strength, flexibility, focus, and self-care. Additionally, children learn techniques to calm their bodies and quiet their minds. Yoga is led by therapists that use their expert knowledge of movement and emotional regulation to guide children to peace. Childrenhave creative yoga sessions tailored to their sensory processing and emotional needs. TYGR therapists guide children in yoga activities including visuals & sounds to calm mind with control of body, yoga movement stories, breathing techniques, guided imaginative play, animal imitations, creative drawings, stretching, and traditional yoga poses.
