    About Mokena Community Park District in Mokena, IL

    The Mokena Community Park District is committed to making sure families have fun and meaningful experiences in the great outdoors. Our newly expanded summer camp lineup offers something for everyone, from the little ones at Kiddie Camp to our Junior Day Camp Counselor program, designed to cultivate future camp counselors. And our Adventure Camp includes a daily field trip and before and after camp activities. We also have a host of activities for adults, including a Wiffleball league, outdoor Yoga classes, and trips to nearby attractions like Lake Geneva and Atlantic City. To top it off, we've added two outdoor movies on Fridays, and moved our family movies and summer concerts to Tuesday evenings. At the Mokena Community Park District, we believe in the power of recreation to enhance lives. We strive to provide exceptional parks, facilities, programs, events, and services for all to explore and enjoy. Our summer lineup is sure to provide plenty of fun and meaningful experiences for the whole family.

    Programs at Mokena Community Park District in Mokena, IL

    Adventure Camp

    Adventure Camp is an all-day program where we go exploring, take field trips, adventure to various parks and have lots of fun. This camp is for children ages 7-12 years of age. Some of the field trips include baseball games, Palos Heights Pool, Bolingbrook water park (Pelican Harbor), Enchanted Castle, playgrounds, and more! Check out the calendar attached to your receipt for a list of field trips. Please note: some field trips may change. We will continuously update the calendar if there are any changes and inform parents right away.

    Kiddie Camp

    Something special for the “little ones”, a fun-filled magical time. Activities include games, stories, crafts, music, and special surprises. Fee includes one camp t-shirt per session. Please indicate shirt size when registering. Campers must be toilet-trained and ready to be separated from their parents for an extended period. This camp is held the whole day outdoors. In case of inclement weather, we will be inside the Program Center. There are no refunds or credits once you are registered for this camp.

    Summer Sunshine Camp

    This outdoor camp is an annual favorite, a mini-day camp at its best. We will journey the world with arts, crafts, games, music, and of course, Water Week! There will be some special surprises too! The fee includes one camp t-shirt per session. Please indicate shirt size when registering. This camp is held the whole day outdoors. In case of inclement weather, we will be inside the Oaks Recreation and Fitness Center. There are no refunds or credits once you are registered for this camp.
