Pioneers Camp

For our youngest campers, entering kindergarten and first grade, we offer an array of activities and experiences that are inviting and age-appropriate. The Pioneers Camp is a structured program designed to ease campers into building new friendships and becoming more independent. Camper’s days are fun filled! They take American Red Cross Swim Lessons every morning and enjoy supervised free swim in the afternoons. They get to explore the world around them by doing hands-on experiments in STEM and explore their creativity in Music & Drama and Arts & Crafts. Sports & Games and Gymnastics provide challenges and fun ways to learn to support each other. In order to balance all of the high-energy activities, campers will also have quality time to do quiet activities that build their group community and provide a break from the fast-paced day. Pioneers also have Storytime as another more low-key block in their day. The Pioneers have weekly field trips on Fridays to some of the local areas best attractions. Field Trips provide our campers, especially incoming kindergarteners, time to get accustomed to bus rules and routines in a smaller, adult-supported environment before needing to do it more independently for school.
