    About American Heartland Ice Arena in Lincolnwood, IL

    At American Heartland Ice Arena, we are passionate about making sure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy ice sports. Established in 1997, we are proud to be the premier ice facility in the Chicago area. Our wide array of programs, leagues, and events cater to people of all ages and skill levels. We offer Hockey programs ranging from AA Tier II Chicago Bulldogs to reigning High School State Champion Loyola Academy and Lane Tech. We also have a strong figure skating and learn-to-skate program powered by Heartland Skating Academy. We are dedicated to providing everyone with the opportunity to explore the world of ice sports and have a great time doing it.

    HEARTLAND SKATING ACADEMY

    Heartland Skating Academy offers a wide range of programs for anyone with the desire to skate! Whether your goal is to become a stronger recreational skater, or you're committed to becoming a figure skater or hockey player, we have the program that's right for you! Our world-class programs are led by PSA and SafeSport certified coaches who are passionate about sharing their love for the ice with their students. All classes are designed to take skaters from beginners to the advanced freestyle levels.

    LEARN TO PLAY HOCKEY

    Heartland’s hockey programs are designed around the guidelines of USA Hockey’s ADM model, which creates a fun, relaxed learning environment for participants to learn the fundamental skills of ice hockey. The non-competitive and positive atmosphere not only makes a child’s first experience with hockey positive, but also creates an environment in which they can excel. Participants will not only learn to skate but the skills and game of ice hockey, but will also develop self-esteem and self-confidence. The program operates under the premise that if a player's introduction to the sport is positive, they will develop a lifetime love of the game.​

    ​Learn to Skate Summer Camp

    Join us to stay active and learn some new skills this summer - on the ice and off! Our fun camp runs June 12th-August 10th from 9 am - 2:30 pm Monday through Thursday. No camp the week of July 4th. Book ANY two weeks of camp and save $100, book one week, or even one day at a time! Open to levels Basic 1 and up. Skaters will have a fun-filled day of on-ice and off-ice classes. Stretching, pilates, games, crafts, choreography and much more! Please pack a lunch and bring a water bottle for your skater.
