The Lincolnwood Parks and Recreation Department has come a long way since its inception in 1955. What began as The Lincolnwood Day Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating playgrounds throughout the community, has now grown into a comprehensive department that provides a number of recreational programs and events for residents of all ages. Summer Camp
Our popular camps are back to enliven your summer 2023 with fun, sun and friendships! Lincolnwood Summer Day Camp, for instance, features a different, special theme each week. Campers will fill their days with swimming, sports, arts & crafts, and a field trip. Summer Day Camp will be held at Proesel Park and Lincoln Hall School.

Swim Team
The Lincolnwood Lightning Swim Club (LLSC) and training camp is a competitive swim program for ages 6 through 18. This twelve-week summer program begins May 19th providing fun and challenging training for all levels from Novice to Advanced Competitive at our 50-meter long course facility! Training ranges from four hours (Novice) to twelve hours (Advanced and High School) weekly with additional Inter-squad and Northern Illinois Swim Conference meets.
