About Timber Pointe Outdoor Center

Originally owned by the Boy Scouts Camp Heffernan, Easterseals purchased the property in 1989 and has since been working to transform it into a year-round camp and retreat center. For over sixty years, campers of all abilities have experienced the joys of camping, and have benefited from the specialized programming offered. Through the work of the Timber Pointe Charitable Foundation, the Easterseals property has become a place of fun and discovery for individuals and families alike. Offering a range of inclusive activities and adapted programming, Timber Pointe offers a truly unique and special experience for its campers.

Youth Inclusive Adventure Day Camps
Our Inclusive Adventure Day Camp is for children ages 5-17 with or without a disability. Programming is designed for a developmental age of 5-13. Sessions will run Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm, and include breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. All activities are completely adaptive for all abilities and will be geared around a unique theme each week!

Spring Family Retreat
Craving a chance to getaway, reconnect as a family, and experience both relaxation and adventure without compromising your family’s health and safety? Our 2-night Family Retreats are designed to give families who have a child with a disability or challenging illness a renewing and refreshing break at our beautiful 170-acre property on Lake Bloomington.
