Vertical Endeavors is the premier indoor rock climbing gym in the Midwest, offering a wide range of climbs for all ages and abilities. Whether it’s top rope, lead climbing, or bouldering, our knowledgeable staff is here to help guide you through the experience. Established in 1992, we’ve developed multiple locations across the Midwest, each equipped with Auto Belays, bouldering areas, and sport lead climbing. Our facilities are climate-controlled, and we offer a great selection of indoor and outdoor lessons, youth programs, group events, birthday parties, and a convenient pro shop with a wide range of climbing gear.

Programs at Vertical Endeavors- Glendale Heights in Glendale Heights, IL

BeAKid
BASE CAMP (Ages 6–9)

Learn the basics of indoor rock climbing. No experience is necessary. Activities include cooperative group games, technique lessons, route reading basics, and a mock competition. In addition to our focus on fun, this camp promotes awareness and understanding of bouldering safety. Your child will leave camp with a sense of self-reliance and accomplishment, as well as a deeper respect for the sport of bouldering. The week will culminate with a pizza party. Bring a sack lunch and drink Monday through Thursday.

BeAKid
PEAK EXPERIENCE (Ages 10-13)

Learn indoor rock climbing and belaying techniques and capitalize on any previous climbing experience you may have. Activities include knot tying and belay lessons, rappelling and using ascenders. This camp also includes daily technique and movement classes on a variety of topics. This program will teach you to bring your climbing skills to the next level.

BOULDER CAMP (Ages 8+)

Learn the world of bouldering in this week long camp. Staff will start with teaching the basics of bouldering, falling and sequencing movement. After the basics, campers will take a deep dive into how to read routes, and even create some problems of their own. The final day of camp will wrap up with a friendly mini competition & pizza party!
