At the Frankfort Square Park District, we are dedicated to providing the safest and most enjoyable environment for all visitors. We understand that maintaining a park can be a difficult task, which is why we have adopted a management standard to help us care for our natural areas. This includes such practices as mowing, prescribed burns, mechanical removal, selective herbicide control, over-seeding, and planting plugs and plants. We strive to do the best we can with the staff and budget we have.

The Philosophy of the Frankfort Park District Preschool Program is to provide a preschool setting that is both nurturing and positive to the young child. To achieve this atmosphere, we stress social emotional, and creative skills. A strong emphasis will be placed on playing, which is a child’s principal means of expression and problem-solving. Language arts, stories, games, crafts, and songs will be introduced to correlate with the daily topic. An independent child with a positive self-image is our ultimate goal.

Preschool

The Prairie Care program is designed to provide a safe, recreational based program for children attending District 157C schools in grades Kindergarten – 5th grade.  The program is coordinated by qualified staff who strive to develop a warm constructive relationship with the children. Prairie Care provides a creative and stimulating environment in which children can learn, grow and thrive at their own developmental pace.

PRAIRIE CARE: Before & After School Care

Frankfort Adventures Day Camp is back for another awesome summer. This day camp program is designed for children in grades entering 1st – 6th grade in the Fall of 2023 (Session 5 – entering K – 6th grade) Our camp will provide plenty of outdoor activities, pool days, splash pad days, arts & crafts, and walking field trips. Other field trips are TBA. We will also have special in-house entertainment throughout the summer. Bring a lunch and water bottle each day.
