Our camps and digital programs are designed for kids with cancer, their siblings, and even their parents. We believe that inclusion, accessibility, and connections are the key to creating a meaningful experience. Camp One Step builds lifetime friendships and helps kids reclaim the joy of childhood while allowing families to feel a sense of wholeness. We are passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers and their families.

The classes, camps and experiences this business offers.
Chicago Day Camp
Chicago Day Camp is unique in comparison to our other Camp One Step camps. It offers pediatric cancer patients and survivors, as well as their siblings, between the ages of 5-10, the opportunity to experience the wonderful support and fun of camp during the day and they get to sleep in their own bed at night.
Each day of camp we will have an amazing time visiting some of the most fun and educational places in and around Chicago. From visiting Chicago’s most famous museums, playing games, arts & crafts, and to learning about animals at one of the local zoos, we plan a wide variety of activities for our campers.
Brain Tumor Family Camp
Brain Tumor Family Camp is a fun, getaway weekend break for families who have a child 19 years or younger who has been diagnosed with a brain or CNS (central nervous system) tumor. As always, camp is adaptive and inclusive to serve all ability levels. This camp experience provides support from other families who understand how a diagnosis affects the entire family. Program leaders will prepare fun interactive activities along with supporting workshops for the whole family. Families will have a chance to relax, reconnect as a family, and develop friendships with other families who truly understand the challenges that a brain tumor diagnosis presents.
