Among these determined youngsters, there's one who stands out from the rest, a lad with a grin wider than the Chattahoochee River, our imaginary character, Dunkin' Dwayne. Dunkin' Dwayne is a jolly giant of a boy, with hands as swift as a hummingbird's wings and feet as fast as a racing cheetah. When Dwayne is around, the basketball court transforms into a circus of laughter and wild trick shots. Picture this: Dwayne, dribbling the ball with such speed that it could very well ignite the court on fire, sprints towards the hoop. He leaps into the air, flips, twirls, and in a blink of an eye, slam dunks the ball into the hoop! The crowd erupts in applause, and Dwayne, in all his glory, ends up landing on his bottom, creating an explosion of giggles across the court. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats.
