About Camp Swamp
Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality.
Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith.
Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.

Summer Camp
During the summer, Camp Swamp provides a week-long overnight youth camp for 6 weeks. Guided by our Camp Swamp values, we are able to provide a loving, faith-building, and intergenerationally-connected environment where campers experience play, connection, community, and wonder. Enrollment begins in January.
During the winter, summer, & fall, Camp Swamp provides 3 different opportunities for a 4-day overnight experience for anyone ages 5 and above. Focused on lots of free time to make intergenerational connections, Family Camp offers a special space to build a spiritual community with other families and within their own as well.
Did you grow up attending summer camp, either at Camp Swamp or another camp? Are you wanting a chance to relive some of those summer camp memories? If you have never attended summer camp growing up, have you always wondered what it would be like to camp?
Summer is not the only time for a break. Every fall, we host a weekend retreat for our high schoolers to be able to take a break away from the world and reconnect with their friends from over the summer or meet new ones. Here they can rest, learn, and enjoy community for a weekend.
We don’t only have a retreat for our high schoolers, but our middle schoolers too! This retreat also happens every fall and creates a space for all our middle schoolers to connect with one another. Weekend retreats are great ways to “try camp out” for the first time!
A retreat for moms, daughters, grandmothers, granddaughters, aunts, nieces, sisters and even friends! This is a weekend for women (especially moms) and girls to getaway from the busyness of everyday life and experience play, connection, community and wonder.
Our Father Daughter Retreats are one of our seven annual family retreats that occur throughout the year! We love being able to provide a space to rest, play, and spend quality time with Dads and Daughters.
Calling all dads, sons, grandsons, uncles and nephews! Our Father Son Retreat is packed with traditions and quality bonding time for all the guys. It’s a special time to get away and experience God’s creation, get closer to God, build and strengthen friendships not only with your sons but other men, and enjoy some much-needed time of fun and refreshing.
The Mother Son Retreat is one of our seven family retreats that we host throughout the year. Our family retreats are places for intergenerational bonds, a rest for the soul, and time to experience play, connection, community, and wonder. This one is especially for our moms and sons.
Holidays at the Swamp (aka H@TS) is our winter retreat for 7-12th graders from 4PM December 29 – 12:30 PM January 1. Every year, we celebrate the past year and we ring in the New Year together with a big dinner, dance, and by watching the ball drop.
