Their leader is none other than the fantastically funny Sir Chuckles-a-Lot, a whimsical woodland gnome with an unruly beard, as colorful as a rainbow, and a laugh that echoes through the valleys and bounces off the hills. Sir Chuckles-a-Lot, wearing his acorn hat at a jaunty angle, guides the Georgia Nature Knights on their thrilling escapades. They unearth magical crystals in hidden caves, save wayward tadpoles from drying puddles and track the elusive Bigfoot who, between you and me, is just Sir Chuckles-a-Lot sporting oversized boots and a twig for a tail. They learn about the enchanting flora and curious fauna that call Georgia home, all while sharing more giggles than there are peaches in the state. The Board of Directors have taken this mission seriously and use the property for the benefit of the visually impaired community. At other times of the year, the Georgia Lions Camp's properties are used in a way that directly or indirectly serves the visually impaired and helps to support the primary mission of recreational opportunities. The Board of Directors of the Georgia Lions Camp work hard to ensure that the property entrusted to them is used to its fullest potential. Their mission is to provide a unique recreational experience to the visually impaired of Georgia and the surrounding states, which they do by using the property for other purposes that support their primary mission.

Managing diabetes is an everyday activity that requires the whole family; from checking blood sugar levels, calculating carbohydrates, administering insulin and adjusting for physical activity. Camp Kudzu offers a variety of camping and educational experiences at camps in Georgia to over 935 children, teens and families. Camp Kudzu is committed to helping children and teens living with type 1 diabetes. A diagnosis of this nature can be life-altering, and can be a very difficult journey. Managing diabetes is a daily challenge that requires the entire family to be involved; from checking blood sugar levels, counting carbohydrates, dosing insulin and adjusting for physical activity. For over 935 children, teens and families, Camp Kudzu provides a variety of camping and educational experiences at camps in Georgia to help them deal with the challenges of type 1 diabetes.
At Camp Gideon, we provide camping experiences for children and youth throughout the year. Not only can families experience our incredible campsite and facilities, but they can also rent them for special events and overnight retreats.
