About Conductive Education Center of Orlando in Winter Park, FL

Developed by Hungarian professor András Pető in the late 1940s, the premise of Conductive Education is that individuals with motor disorders need both medical treatment and special education to help them reach their full potential. By actively engaging with their environment and repeating the same activities over and over, students with motor disorders can make the neurological connections needed to learn a skill. Conductive Education provides a comprehensive approach to helping these students develop the physical and cognitive abilities needed to reach their potential. Conductive Education has been helping children with motor disorders for more than 70 years. Professor András Pető developed a unique approach that combines medical treatment and special education to maximize the potential of these students. Through active participation and repetition, students make neurological connections that allow them to learn new skills.
