About Surf Skate Science

Parents know that kids learn best when they are having fun and engaged in the material. That’s why our coop classes offer active learning opportunities where children can learn the science behind the activities they love. Children become more than skaters in a park or surfers in the water - they become scientists discussing motion, Newton's laws, simple machines, and the environment. By blending fun and learning, our classes provide an environment in which children can learn and explore with the confidence that comes from understanding the science behind their favorite activities. Kids can learn more, discover more, and have fun while doing it!

Surf Skate Science
Surf Skate Science is a weekly homeschool class that is designed to enrich your child’s school curriculum. Our co-op classes offer physical activity through surf and skate lessons. Plus, participants will also learn the science involved in Action Sports including marine biology, environmental science, physics and more.

SKATE CAMP
Join us for one of the best camp experiences in South Florida! Island Camps has over 25 years of experience. We are proud to offer skate school sessions in winter, spring and summer. Each day we travel to our favorite parks and activities in South Florida. We meet up for friendly camp vs camp competitions, challenge ourselves to learn new tricks, and always have fun. Our skate camps are great for ages 8-16 and all experience levels are welcome. We also offer opportunities for Junior counselors, ages 17-18 and college camp interns.
