Modern Arnis is a form of Filipino stick and knife fighting that employs the use of the wrist, elbow, and shoulder for blocking and striking. Kali, on the other hand, is a Filipino art form that uses the stick, knife, and other weapons of Filipino culture.
At Power Martial Arts, Masters Lori and Matthew Brown are dedicated to teaching the finest traditional martial arts. Students at Power Martial Arts learn five martial art styles, including Korean Karate Tang Soo Do, Ju-Jitsu, Aikido, Modern Arnis and Kali. Each style has its own distinctive techniques, such as using blocks and strikes for Tang Soo Do, manipulation and throws for Ju-Jitsu, and pressure points for Aikido. Modern Arnis and Kali employ the use of the wrist, elbow and shoulder for blocking and striking, as well as the stick, knife and other weapons of Filipino culture. With the guidance of Masters Lori and Matthew Brown, students at Power Martial Arts can learn the skills and technique of the ancient martial arts.
